#YesOn3 Phone Banking with #YesOn1Bos
Yes on 1 is hosting weekly phone banks to reach as many Boston voters as possible before the general election on November 2, 2021. They have invited Elect the BSC to join them!
Yes on 1 is seeking to reform the city charter to allow Boston City Councilors to better represent our neighborhoods by giving them the tools to amend and improve the Mayor’s budget and, by 2024, create an independent office of Participatory Budgeting to allow Boston residents to propose and vote on parts of our annual budget.
Yes on 3 seeks to bring democracy back to Boston's school governance by changing from an appointed to an elected school committee structure. Question 3 is a nonbinding advisory question on Boston's November municipal ballot that asks, "Should the current appointed school committee structure be changed to a school committee elected by the residents of Boston?"

Yes On 3 & Yes On 1 Weekly Sunday Doorknocking
Join us in building a better Boston! Campaigning togther we hope to bring more equity to our city, Yes on 1, to bring about real budget reform, and Yes on 3 to get an elected school committee in Boston! We will be hosting weekly canvasses to reach as many Boston voters as possible before the general election on November 2, 2021.
Yes on 1 would change how the city budget is created by allowing the city council to change budget items by a majority vote, and create an office of participatory budgeting to allow people to vote on certain budget items. If/when Question 3 passes, a home rule petition filed by City Councilor Ricardo Arroyo and supported by Councilor Julia Mejia would create a process to determine the eventual structure of the elected school committee.
Together, the ballot question and home rule petition could restore to Bostonians the democratic right to elect their school board; a right that residents in every other school district in the state possess.
Knock Across Boston
We’re excited to join in with other local organizations to door knock across Boston and to ensure that communities of color have their voices are heard for the November 2 election coming up in less than 3 weeks! We will be talking to voters about their plan to vote and to ask them their support on two ballot questions: to reform Boston's city charter, and to bring back an elected school committee.
We will be meeting at the Dewitt Center in Roxbury at 10am. Training will be provided. Please bring a water bottle, a bag, and comfortable shoes.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Beth Huang at beth@mavotertable.org.
We hope to see you there!

Join us this Saturday for a special canvassing day with City Councilor Julia Mejia, #YesOn3 and #YesOn1Bos! We've joined forces to get out the word about a Better Boston, a more just Boston, and we want you to join us!
Electing the Boston School Committee is a simple path forward to more equity in the Boston Schools and greater representation of community power in the city of Boston. When Question 3 passes, a home rule petition filed by City Councilor Ricardo Arroyo and supported by Councilor Julia Mejia would create a process to determine the eventual structure of the elected school committee. Together, the ballot question and home rule petition could restore to Bostonians the democratic right to elect their school board; a right that residents in every other school district in the state possess.
